We’ve all heard the Boy Scout motto; “Be Prepared” but it doesn’t just apply to them. Everyone should be prepared for everything they can’t count on others for. On the other hand, there’s no need to become one of those preppers that believe the end of human civilization is inevitable.
There are lots of things you can do to be ready for things to go sideways. When developing your everyday carry, include things that can help in a survival situation. Assemble a bug out bag and bug in kit, and consider a get me home bag or even a bug out vehicle. Most importantly, make sure your home is prepared for the natural disasters that are common in your area.
